SNAP's Friends

We would like to acknowledge the generous support of the many organizations and individuals without whom SNAP would not exist. These are just a few examples of the wonderful people who stand behind SNAP's success. Thank you to our many donors! Every dollar you give is much appreciated.

Ark Antiques for Animal Charities
Ark Antiques for Animal Charities presented SNAP with a $15,000 check to sponsor 10 spay/neuter clinics in the South Bay. This is the third generous gift provided by Ark Antiques to support SNAP's services to the community. Ark Antiques is a lovely shop with quality, well-priced antiques, with proceeds from the shop going to animal charities. SNAP encourages you to visit them at 7643 Girard Avenue in La Jolla - you can do some great shopping and benefit the animals. Also, if you have items to donate or consign, it is a great venue. SNAP really appreciates the board and volunteers of Ark Antiques!

The Animal Trust Foundation
SNAP's long-time and very generous sponsors, The Animal Trust Foundation, have also granted a wonderful gift that will sponsor 10 mobile spay/neuter clinics in San Diego County. Like Ark Antiques, ATF invests in local efforts to improve animal welfare. SNAP is hugely appreciative of their long-standing - since 1994! - and vital support. ATF has been a significant reason that SNAP was able to initiate and operate our mobile clinic. If you are looking to find a lifetime friend, please visit the website of another ATF beneficiary at 1-800-Save-A-Pet for a current listing of pets in need of a family of their own. Thanks, Tony, Doug and Dr. Augustine!

PETCO Foundation
The PETCO Foundation has also been a hugely significant and generous contributor to SNAP's success for many years. Their "Round-Up" fundraiser provided the remaining funds ($36,000) so that SNAP could purchase the Neuter Scooter. The Foundation's contributions to SNAP over the years would entail a very long list from monetary grants to pet products. For instance, thanks to the PETCO Foundation SNAP is able to provide free PETCO cardboard cat carriers to clients who do not have and cannot afford their own carriers - probably about 1,000 at this point. Thanks Paul and Susan!

Las Patronas
Las Patronas is an all-volunteer philanthropic organization based in La Jolla. In May 2008, Las Patronas granted funding for two new autoclaves (worth $9,000) for our Neuter Scooter clinics. "We are very proud to add you to the list of worthy organizations." The old autoclave on the Neuter Scooter 1 had been a workhorse over the last 4 l/2 years, sterilizing about 12,000 surgical instrument packs. But, it was becoming pretty unpredictable and maintenance-intensive. The autoclave on the NS 2 is very old and was reconditioned when it was purchased 8 years ago. Thanks to Las Patronas' generosity, we can be assured that we won't have to cancel a clinic due to equipment breakdown. Las Patronas has been partnering with the SD Community since 1946 and, thanks to their yearly Jewel Ball, has granted over $13 million to SD nonprofits. Thanks, everyone!
