For over 25 years, she has served as corporate counsel to large and small non-profits. Kristina provides tax advice to tax-exempt and non-profit organizations on a wide variety of issues, from obtaining initial tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to drafting and obtaining private letter rulings from the IRS on specific transactions and issues impacting these types of organizations. In addition, she frequently counsels clients on state and federal requirements related to non-profit governance and management, as well as formation and organization.
Before entering the legal profession, Kristina practiced as a critical care nurse. Her 15-year background in medicine provides a unique complement to her tax-exempt organizations practice.
