Biography Denise Clark

Denise has been an active volunteer for the past 13 years.  Her first five years were spent with Habitat for Humanity in Buffalo, New, York, one year with SNAP when she moved to San Diego, assisting with the clinic check in process, and for the past seven years with Helen Woodward Animal Center, where she managed their Foster Program for three of those years.
 She spent nearly 20 years in the accounting/finance field, working for corporate giants including Chiquita Brands, HJ Heinz and General Electric.  Denise holds a B.S. in Accounting, an MBA and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Denise serves as a Board Member of the San Diego Senior Women’s Basketball Association and is also an active player in their league.  In addition to her love of playing basketball she is also a hiking enthusiast.

Denise is dedicated to protecting the rights of ALL animals and educating the public about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.  She is compassionate about pursuing a plant-based lifestyle to complement her principles on how animals should be treated and viewed.  Three rescue cats share her home.
